Last week, the groups of Ste.Famille went on a two-day trip. There were 50 people and 2 sisters who accompanied them as guides.
Its rich and diverse program that contained various issues (religious, cultural and entertainment) favored the trip.
On the first day (Saturday30/5/2009), they headed for Tebet Al-Emam, to be acquainted with the most important mosaic works in Syria, which go back to the fifth century. After that, they visited Hama Museum and its old church that contains the most ancient holy ecclesiastical vessels in the world. As well, they met His Eminence the Metropolitan of Hama in the diocese. Then they had lunch in Cyran restaurant in Muhardeh.
After the participants' arrival to Panorama Hotel in Mashta Al-Helo, they had a meeting with His Eminence the Metropolitan Paul Yazigi, the Parish Pastor, in which he spoke about " the church: Theological and historical concept).
In the evening, they had a party in the open hall of the hotel.
On the second day, (Sunday 31/5/2009) they headed for Marmarita, to participate in the Divine Liturgy. After that, they had a meeting with Archimandrite Elias Tame in the diocese there, and it was distinct by the joyful atmosphere and the great hospitality. Father Elias gave them some advice about the family, and the importance of its commitment to the church.
Then, they went to St. Georges Monastery for having the benediction and visiting the church. In the monastery, they had a meeting with Archimandrite Khristo, The head of the monastery, and they had a seminar with Sister Paula about "the prayer in the faithful community". At the end, everybody enjoyed lunch in Alfawar Spring, and went back to Aleppo.
