Under the patronage of His Eminence, the Metropolitan Paul Yazigi, The women's fellowships in New Syrian (the Fellowship of Saints Paul and Peter, the Fellowship of St. Catherine and the fellowship of St. Kassiani) organized an afternoon meeting on May 15, whose revenues will support children's camps of the Religious Teaching in the parish. Two hundred fifty women attended this meeting, in which the parish's priest father Romanos Daoud thanked the fellowships' women for their distinct efforts, and spoke briefly about St. Paul's verse "Giving is more blessed that taking".
His Eminence made a speech in which he expressed his joy about the fellowships close care for the parish, and their pastoral role. His Eminence also spoke about the meanings of human's existence, saying that the most sublime meaning of existence is that in which he grants joy and peace to others. This is what our meeting is about, and this will be of great help for those children whose circumstances prevent them, and will enable them to join the camps and meet their mates in an atmosphere full of joy and prayers.
At the end, the singer Dia-a Kabbani sang number of songs, and he delighted the audiences with his melodious eastern beautiful voice.
